The Pink Ribbon Tour is a road cycling event in Pocatello, Idaho centered on building awareness for breast cancer while raising funds for local cancer patients and providing access to early detection mammograms.
The 2nd annual Pink Ribbon Tour will be held on the first Saturday in October to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The date for 2016 is Saturday, October 1st.
The Pink Ribbon Tour will have courses available for riding of all abilities, including families. Rides include a 50, 35, 20 and 8.5 mile courses for individuals, teams, and families. The Pink Ribbon Tour is an event for everyone!
Funds raised will go directly back into our community through several programs. First, is the Shannon Potter Fun Fund which was set up to provide small pleasures for those going through cancer treatment to brighten their day. Second is the Cancer Patient Assistance Fund which helps provide cancer patients with assistance to make ends meet during cancer treatment. Last year $10,000 was donated to local cancer patients through funds raised at our 2015 Pink Ribbon Tour!
The Pink Ribbon Tour was created after a close friend was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. A cancer diagnoses truly changes life’s perspective. Out of the helplessness that comes along with being a supporter of a cancer patient the Pink Ribbon Tour took shape to help raise awareness and support those that are on their journey with cancer.
