Southeastern Idaho Public Health is located at 1901 Alvin Ricken Drive in Pocatello, Idaho. Event day parking is located behind the building. Parking arrows and a volunteer will direct cars off of Alvin Ricken Drive to the parking lot. As entrance to the parking lot crosses the starting line to the entrance of the road all cars need to be parked by 7:45. Late entry to the parking lot will be allowed after all riders have entered the course safely.
Pink Ribbon Tour is a ride rain or shine event. The last two years the weather has been ideal for a great Fall ride. We do experience wind through parts of the ride. Be prepared by dressing in layers for varying weather conditions. Each aid station will be equipped with drop boxes for layers riders wish to shed. Please make sure rider’s names are put on all articles left in the drop box for easy return. Drop boxes will be returned to the Finish Line following the aid station break down.
Each aid stations will have water and Gatorade to hydrate. A variety of protein, sugary, and salty snacks have been thoughtfully chosen based on the estimated needs of the riders by a dietician who specializes in athletics for each aid station. We also have fresh fruit, basic first aid items, and boxes with tape and markers for riders to put any extra items of clothing they don’t wish to finish the ride with.
We welcome spectators to cheer on our riders! Hill tops such as the peak of Buckskin/Antelope and Cry Baby Hill (AMI hill top on Buckskin Drive) are excellent places to show your encouragement to PRT riders. Stuart Park in Inkom is also a favorite location as a half way point for our 50 mile course. Please join us at Start Time to give riders a fun send off.
Please be mindful of riders on the course as well as traffic. We want spectators, riders, and motorist to all get to their destinations safely!
